VAPIANO opened its first restaurant in Hamburg on October 22, 2002. Four years later, in 2006, the first VAPIANO in Austria followed in Theobaldgasse.
With the VAPIANO Lovers Austria app, you collect points with every visit, earn exclusive rewards such as a free espresso or a free pasta and benefit from special offers just for app users.
You receive 10 points for every €1 spent. You'll also stay up to date on new dishes, seasonal specials and promotions.
The app can be used in all VAPIANO restaurants in Austria (except Linz).

Yes, of course. With our take-away service, you can either pre-order online via our website or the VAPIANO Lovers App and pick up your order at your preferred time in the restaurant, or order directly on site and take your meal home with you.
At VAPIANO you can pay with cash, debit card, MasterCard, VisaCard, Apple Pay and American Express* (*except VAPIANO Linz).
We always want to offer our guests new taste experiences, so sometimes a dish has to make way for a new creation.
Yes, of course! At VAPIANO, your personal pasta takes center stage. You can customize your dish exactly to your taste directly with the Vapianisti or at the Order Point, and share your individual preferences while it’s being prepared.
Even after cooking, you can refine your dish just the way you like it: fresh herbs, salt, pepper, olive oil, chili oil and balsamic vinegar are available on every table, while garlic oil and chili flakes can be found at the stations.
Our Momenti are available four times a year and are always seasonally inspired to match the current time of year.
Yes! VAPIANO is family-friendly and warmly welcomes children.
We offer special kids’ dishes for our younger guests, provide high chairs, and in many of our restaurants there is plenty of space for strollers, so families can feel completely at ease when dining with us.
At VAPIANO, you can decide for yourself whether you’d like to leave a tip to further appreciate the work of our team.
Tips can be given directly when paying by card or at the order point. Of course, all tips go exclusively to the team members at the respective VAPIANO location — thank you very much for your appreciation.
VAPIANOS are non-smoking restaurants. However, it is possible to smoke on our terraces and in the outdoor area.
As soon as you realize that you have lost your chip card, please inform the restaurant manager. He will do everything possible to resolve the matter to your satisfaction.
At VAPIANO, we want to be open to all guests at any time — whether you’re stopping by spontaneously or planning ahead.
To make sure both spontaneous visitors and planned guests feel equally welcome, we deliberately do not offer reservations. This way, everyone can drop in flexibly and enjoy their time with us.
We’re also open 364 days a year. Just stop by - at VAPIANO, you’ll always find a place.
We are of course delighted that you like our style. However, the furnishings and staff clothing are not for sale.
